Senior C# Software Engineer

Yellow Canary is a rapidly growing Australian tech company looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in .NET / C#.

The Yellow Canary platform calculates wages, superannuation and entitlements in accordance with awards and enterprise agreements to ensure employees are paid correctly – an issue that is becoming increasingly topical for all employers and industries in Australia.

Your role: 

We are seeking a talented Senior LevelC# Software Engineer with experience in .NET development to join our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer at Yellow Canary, you will play an integral role in the ongoing development and enhancement of our core platform, a greenfield cloud-based system utilising the latest technologies.

You will collaborate closely with our Engineering Team to deliver innovative technical solutions to address core business challenges. This position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of new tools, products, and services that YellowCanary is building for the market.

A little about you:

·      8+ years of experience in procedural languages, with a focus on .NET core / .NET 8.

·      Proficiency in AWS technologies, including Lambda, Fargate, RDS and CloudFormation.

·      Familiarity with Docker and containerisation.

·      Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.

·      Exposure toReact is a plus.

·      Previous experience working with high-volume or regulated industries is advantageous.

·      A motivated team player committed to achieving team success.

·      Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow.

The Yellow Canary platform ingests payroll, timesheet and rostering data to calculate payment variances inline with awards, enterprise agreements and the superannuation guarantee.

The Yellow Canary team was established in 2017 and we are growing rapidly, primarily based out ofSydney and surrounds. Our platform serves some of Australia's largest employers, enabling them to get their wages and employee entitlements right, quickly. While we’re remote first, we have an office based in Sydney that remains open for anyone to choose their working location.
