Yellow Canary, the leading automation solution for workforce compliance, took out first place in their category - Business and Professional Services of the Year Award - and the coveted overall 2022 Technology Scale-Up Awards winner.

Sarah Gilkes, Partner at Hamilton Locke and presenter of the awards, noted that “this award is presented to a scale-up business that the panel considers has engaged in industry leading innovation,  has demonstrated exceptional growth, and which has huge potential to scale exponentially.”

The awards celebrate disruptive Australian technology businesses that demonstrate high rates of growth and innovation, as well as a contribution to improving the Australian and international business landscape. Yellow Canary’s platform is designed to give employers the confidence that they are doing the right thing by their employees and meeting their workforce and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) compliance obligations.

During the last 12 months, the Yellow Canary team has doubled to 50 employees across Australia, attracting an outstanding team of engineers and subject matter experts in the industrial relations and payroll space. Working in partnership with law firms and accounting firms as well as direct to employer, the Yellow Canary platform is used by some of Australia’s most recognisable employers across a range of industry sectors to meet wages, superannuation and long service leave compliance obligations.

The Yellow Canary team has achieved organic revenue growth of 40x over the past two financial years and show no signs of slowing, proving that an automation first approach is the logical solution to balancing the complexity of Australian industrial relations with the commitment to being an ethical and trustworthy employer.

“The [Business and Professional Services] category was incredibly competitive, with a high number of very impressive entrants,” Sarah Gilkes stated, adding to the honour for Yellow Canary to be announced the winner amongst such high quality finalists.

The awards are made possible thanks to the support from sponsors Hamilton Locke, Source, Ansarada, MA Financial Group, and Grant Thornton.
