Account Manager

Yellow Canary is a fast-growing Australian RegTech company on a mission to make workforce compliance easy. Our platform helps employers ensure their teams are paid correctly and on time across a range of legislative obligations including awards, EAs, Long Service Leave, Payday Super, and the Holidays Act (NZ).
We're looking for an organised, customer-focused Account Manager to join our Customer team. You'll lead customer onboarding and implementation projects, working closely with our Product, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure workforce compliance is made easy for the Yellow Canary community.
You'll be the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding journey, responsible for bringing together the right people, processes and information to drive successful project outcomes. This role combines project management, customer relationship management, governance, and delivery coordination to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful implementations.

π§ What You'll Do
- βCustomer Onboarding & Implementation: Own customer projects from sales handover through to completion, ensuring successful onboarding and implementation outcomes.
- βProject Management: Coordinate tasks, milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables to keep projects on track and provide visibility across customers and internal teams.
- βCustomer Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, building trusted relationships and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- βProject Governance: Manage customer communications, status updates, meeting preparation, project documentation, assumptions, decisions and project artefacts
- βData Review & Analysis: Conduct initial reviews of client payroll data, identify gaps, develop project context and document logic aligned with Yellow Canary methodologies.
- βQuality Assurance & Validation: Review project outputs, understand key drivers and assumptions, support testing activities and validate outcomes before delivery to customers.
- βScope & Sign-Off Management: Monitor project scope, manage change requests, maintain appropriate guardrails and coordinate customer approvals throughout key project stages.
- βCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success, Data, Engineering and Consulting teams to ensure successful project delivery and continuous alignment.
- βCommunication & Coordination: Facilitate workshops, kick-offs, review meetings and stakeholder discussions, ensuring actions and decisions are documented and communicated effectively.
- βProcess Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve, scale and automate delivery processes to create better customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
- βCommercial Awareness: Support project governance by monitoring project status, identifying risks and escalating scope, timeline or resource concerns.
- βMentoring & Knowledge Sharing: Support Consultants and contribute to continuous learning and improvement across the team.
