Our office is built for flexibility. With hot desks, a clear desk policy, and shared respect for the space, Canaries can drop in, collaborate, or find focus whenever they need.
We keep meetings to a minimum. At Yellow Canary, asynchronous is the default, and we use tools like Slack and Notion to collaborate efficiently.
Maintaining team spirit
We stay connected through regular online team meetings and bring everyone together in person for quarterly team days across Australia to align on goals and build stronger connections.
Transparency matters in a hybrid team. We make our work easy to follow and pick up, share updates in public Slack channels, and avoid losing info in DMs or side chats.

We begin with a quick phone call to learn about your interest in Yellow Canary, your experience, and your working rights in Australia. From there, we invite you to a longer chat with our team to dive deeper into your background and career goals. We always leave time for your questions too.
Seeing your skills in action
We give you a challenge that reflects the kind of work you would do at Yellow Canary. It is a chance to show your skills in action and helps level the playing field. You will usually complete it at home, then discuss it with a panel from our team.
Knowing your values
Next, you will meet people from different teams across Yellow Canary. It is a chance for us to see how you align with our values and what you will bring to our culture. You will also get to meet the people you might work with day to day. We welcome any questions you have along the way.
